Ways to Support Express

Your support is invested directly in creating a more economically just community, Express Advantage is the fundraising arm or Express Credit Union; as a 501(c)3, all donations to Express Advantage are tax deductable.  It is an easy way to support two great organizations with one donation.

Donations to Express Advantage can be made in many different ways – it’s easy to give and we can help you determine which avenue is best for you!  DONATE NOW

MONTHLY GIVING – THE EXPRESSWAY CLUB

Donors who make monthly contributions to Express Advantage provide stable funding for year-round campaigning and allow Express to strategically plan throughout the year. To join, you simply pre-authorize a monthly deduction from your credit card or bank account. As a monthly supporter, your contribution to the success of our programs is convenient, automatic and effective.

  • You enable Express Advantage to better plan activities in advance
  • Express Advantage’s administrative costs are greatly reduced, which means more funds go directly to programs
  • It is easy to activate and more convenient than sending in checks
  • You can spread your donation out over the year, so that you can make a larger annual contribution

Express monthly donors receive a special newsletter, ExpressWays, published two times a year.

GIFTS IN HONOR

Make a gift to Express Advantage in honor of a family member, friend, colleague, mentor, or someone special. It’s a unique way to make a gift in honor of a birthday, wedding, anniversary, or to celebrate any special occasion. By supporting Express, such thoughtful gifts help us provide the support people need in order to become more financially secure.

Be sure to include the name of the person whom you would like to honor and their address – so that we can send them a special card telling them about your honorarium (gift amount is not disclosed). Use the donation form* to send in your gift or call 206-805-6996.

GIFTS IN MEMORY

A gift in memory, not only enables you to remember someone special, it also helps to support the work of Express. You can express your sympathy and memorialize them with a gift in memory. Your gift will help us to provide support that people in your community need to become more financially secure.

DONATE A VEHICLE

Donating a vehicle is an easy and thoughtful and hassle-free way to recycle your old vehicle (working or not!) AND contribute to Express at the same time. By making a vehicle donation you get an itemized tax deduction for the full value of the vehicle and support the work that Express does in our community.

Express has partnered with Charitable Auto Resources, Inc. to accept and process vehicle donations for us. If you would like to donate your used car, truck, RV, motorcycle or other vehicle, you can call them at 877-537-5277or start the donation process online here*.

There’s no hassle with a dealer over the trade-in value, there’s no trying to find a salvage lot to tow it, no paying for tow charges, and you are entitled to a tax deduction. These are just some of the many reasons why people donate cars to us. Plus, you can feel great knowing that you are also supporting individuals and families in your own community. PLANNED GIVING

Express Advantage offers a great range of flexible opportunities that can help you leave a powerful legacy. Estate gifts provide Express with the continued capacity to provide excellent service and support to members of our communities for years to come.

Bequests

You can name a specific dollar amount, percentage of your estate, or the residual after all obligations have been met to be given to Express Advantage.

Beneficiary Designation

You can name Express Advantage as a designated beneficiary of a variety of different assets – your life insurance policy, your 401k, your 403b, bank account or brokerage accounts.

Be sure to consult your legal and financial advisers about how these gifts will apply in your situation.

STOCKS AND BONDS

You can support Express Advantage, not only with a cash gift, but also with stocks and bonds – which can be transferred as gifts to Express. Gifts of appreciated stock can yield tax benefits to you because they are deductible from your income tax at their fair market value. You can also avoid capital gains tax that would otherwise result from selling the stock and then making a cash gift to Express Advantage. It is best to consult with your financial planner or tax adviser to confirm any tax benefits you may receive from your donation of stock.
